FISHERS, Ind. — The countdown to hockey season in Central Indiana is officially on.
The Indy Fuel have announced their complete 72-game schedule for the 2026-27 ECHL season, with Opening Night set for Friday, October 16 against the Wheeling Nailers at Fishers Event Center.
The upcoming campaign will mark the Fuel’s 13th season as a franchise and their third season playing at Fishers Event Center.
36 Home Games in Fishers
Indy will split the regular season evenly between 36 home games and 36 on the road. The Fuel will spend much of the year facing familiar Central Division opponents, with 56 of their 72 games coming against divisional rivals.
That includes matchups against the Fort Wayne Komets, Kalamazoo Wings, Cincinnati Cyclones, Bloomington Bison, Wheeling Nailers, and Toledo Walleye.
The Bloomington Bison will be Indy’s most frequent opponent, with the two teams scheduled to meet 13 times, including seven games in Fishers.
Fans will also get a chance to see some less familiar opponents at Fishers Event Center, including the Florida Everblades, Trenton Ironhawks, Greenville Swamp Rabbits, Allen Americans and Kansas City Mavericks.
Plenty of Weekend Hockey
The schedule is heavily built around weekends, with 63 of the Fuel’s 72 games taking place on Friday, Saturday or Sunday.
Weeknight home games are scheduled for 7:15 p.m., Saturday games begin at 7 p.m., and Sunday games will have a 4 p.m. puck drop, with one exception: a special 10:30 a.m. game on Tuesday, November 3.
After opening the season at home on October 16, Indy will continue through April 11, 2027, when the Fuel close the regular season on the road against the Greenville Swamp Rabbits.
With a new season, a new head coach and plenty of familiar faces returning to the roster, hockey fans around Indy now have a date to circle: October 16.
