BROWNSBURG, Indiana. — Professional tennis has arrived in Central Indiana as the inaugural Indiana Hardcourt Championships brings the ATP Challenger Tour to Brownsburg this week.
The ATP Challenger 75 event is taking place August 10-16 at the Brownsburg High School Tennis Complex, giving Indiana fans the opportunity to experience professional men’s tennis without traveling outside the state. The tournament is part of a full week of tennis and community programming designed to connect professional competition with the local tennis community.
A New Home for Professional Tennis in Indiana
The Indiana Hardcourt Championships marks an important addition to the state’s tennis calendar. According to the tournament organizers, the event is designed to become an annual professional sporting event in Indiana while helping grow the sport at the youth and community levels.
The tournament is being presented by The Ed Brune Fund, whose mission is to create opportunities for young people through tennis and promote values including sportsmanship, perseverance and personal growth.
The event is also significant from a competitive standpoint. As an ATP Challenger 75 tournament, it provides players with valuable ranking points and serves as the final U.S. event in the 2026 USTA US Open Wild Card Challenge.
A 21-Court Tennis Complex
One of the biggest advantages of the Brownsburg location is the scale of its tennis facilities.
The Brownsburg High School Tennis Complex features 21 courts, making it the only facility in Indiana currently capable of hosting a professional tournament of this level, according to local reporting. For this week’s event, three courts are being used for tournament competition, while seven additional courts are designated for practice.
The complex opened in 2025, making the Indiana Hardcourt Championships an early opportunity to showcase the facility on a professional stage. Brownsburg school officials previously noted that the tournament could make use of the broader 21-court setup to accommodate competition, practice and interaction between professional and local players.
More Than Just Tennis
The Indiana Hardcourts was designed as a weeklong celebration of tennis rather than simply a tournament.
The event began with community programming on August 8-9, including youth clinics and Pro-Am qualifying activities, before the main draw got underway on August 10. The schedule continues through Championship Sunday on August 16, when the singles final and trophy presentation will take place.
Fans attending the tournament can expect general admission seating, courtside boxes, local food vendors, hydration stations and an event bar. The venue also features a kids zone with mini-tennis activities and opportunities for fans to meet professional players during autograph sessions.
The tournament is also designed to be accessible for families. Children and students under 18 can attend for free, while general admission tickets start at $10 for weekday sessions.
Championship Weekend Ahead
With the tournament now underway, the Indiana Hardcourt Championships will continue through the weekend before crowning its inaugural champion on Sunday, August 16.
The semifinals are scheduled for Saturday, followed by the championship final on Sunday.
