MASON, Ohio — Coco Gauff and Sara Bejlek are set to meet in the semifinals of the Cincinnati Open, with a place in Sunday’s final on the line.
The matchup brings together one of the tournament’s biggest stars and its breakout story.
Gauff secured her place in the final four with a dominant 6-2, 6-2 victory over Marta Kostyuk, continuing an impressive run on the Cincinnati hard courts. The World No. 4 has now reached another semifinal as she looks to build momentum heading into the US Open.
On the other side, Bejlek has emerged as one of the biggest surprises of the tournament.
The 20-year-old Czech advanced to her first WTA 1000 semifinal after coming back to defeat Madison Keys 3-6, 6-4, 7-6(5) in a dramatic quarterfinal battle.
