WESTFIELD, Ind. — The Indianapolis Colts officially closed the book on an eight-year chapter Thursday, wrapping up their final training camp at Grand Park Sports Campus in Westfield.
The final day featured a joint practice with the Atlanta Falcons, bringing an end to a partnership that began in 2018 and helped turn Colts Training Camp into a summer tradition for fans across Central Indiana.
Beginning in 2027, the Colts will move training camp to the Indiana Farm Bureau Football Center in Indianapolis. The organization said the decision was driven by growing logistical and technological demands, making it more practical to hold camp at its home facility.
But the move also marks the end of an era in Westfield.
Over the past eight summers, Grand Park gave fans the opportunity to watch practices up close, attend family-focused events and interact with players through autograph sessions and other activities. The 2026 camp featured 13 practices open to the public and was designed as a final celebration of the team’s years in Westfield.
The final practice also brought some new developments on the field, including the Colts debut of veteran wide receiver Keenan Allen. Indianapolis and Atlanta used the final joint session as part of their preparation before meeting again Saturday at Lucas Oil Stadium in preseason action.
For the Colts, the focus now shifts toward the regular season and the next phase of the preseason schedule. For Grand Park and the city of Westfield, Thursday marked the conclusion of a partnership that helped make the facility a familiar summer home for the Horseshoe.
The Colts will leave Grand Park after eight seasons, but the memories and traditions built there will remain a part of the team’s recent history..
