CINCINNATI — Novak Djokovic is officially returning to the Cincinnati Open for the first time since 2023, adding another marquee name to this year’s ATP Masters 1000 field.
The 24-time Grand Slam champion last competed in Cincinnati in 2023, when he captured one of the greatest titles of his career after defeating Carlos Alcaraz in an unforgettable championship match. Since then, Djokovic has not appeared at the tournament, making his return one of the biggest storylines heading into this year’s event.
Djokovic announced his return after skipping the Montreal Masters, choosing Cincinnati as his next tournament as he prepares for the final Grand Slam of the season, the US Open.
His return strengthens an already star-studded player field and gives fans the opportunity to welcome back one of the most successful players in Cincinnati Open history.
