Ben Shelton is already back to work.
The American star was on the practice courts Saturday at the Cincinnati Open, just days after capturing another ATP Masters 1000 title at the National Bank Open in Montreal.
Shelton successfully defended his Montreal crown Thursday, defeating fellow American Brandon Nakashima 6-3, 7-6(4) in the final. The 23-year-old put together an impressive week in Canada, winning all six of his matches without dropping a set.
There wasn’t much time to celebrate. Shelton made the quick trip to Cincinnati and was back on court Saturday preparing for his first match at the Cincinnati Open.
The tournament represents another opportunity for Shelton to carry his momentum into the final stretch of the North American hard-court summer and ahead of the US Open.
When Does Ben Shelton Play?
Shelton is scheduled to begin his Cincinnati Open campaign on Sunday, August 16, facing Jaime Faria of Portugal.
After lifting the trophy in Montreal, all eyes will be on Shelton to see if he can keep his winning streak going in Cincinnati.
