MASON, Ohio — Day 2 of the 2026 Cincinnati Open continued Friday with another full slate of ATP and WTA action at the Lindner Family Tennis Center.
The opening rounds continued across the grounds, with Stefanos Tsitsipas advancing in straight sets over Valentin Royer, 7-6(4), 7-5. Hubert Hurkacz also moved on with a 6-2, 6-4 victory over Sho Shimabukuro, while Sebastian Baez rallied past Grigor Dimitrov 1-6, 6-3, 6-4.
Beyond the matches, fans had another chance to see some of the biggest names in tennis up close during practice sessions. Taylor Fritz, Félix Auger-Aliassime, Ben Shelton, Mirra Andreeva, Lorenzo Musetti and others were among the players scheduled to practice Friday.
The action continues throughout the weekend as more of the tournament’s top seeds begin their Cincinnati Open campaigns.
