Caitlin Clark, Aliyah Boston and Kelsey Mitchell have officially been named starters for the 2026 WNBA All-Star Game, making the Fever the first team in franchise history to place three players in the event’s starting lineup in the same season. The showcase will be held on July 25 in Chicago.
The selections reflect not only the individual excellence of the trio but also the rapid growth of a Fever team that has become one of the WNBA’s biggest attractions this season.
A Historic Moment for the Fever
The All-Star starters were determined through a weighted voting system that combined fan ballots (50%), current player votes (25%) and media votes (25%). Indiana led the league with three starters, an achievement no other Fever roster had accomplished before.
Clark and Mitchell earned starting spots in the backcourt, while Boston secured one of the frontcourt positions after another standout campaign.
For Boston and Mitchell, the honor marks their fourth All-Star selections, while Clark continues to cement her status as one of the league’s brightest stars in just her third professional season.
Clark’s Player Ranking Sparks Debate
Although Caitlin Clark comfortably secured a starting spot, one aspect of the voting quickly became a talking point across the basketball world.
Clark finished as the second-highest vote-getter among fans at the guard position, trailing only Paige Bueckers. However, the votes submitted by fellow WNBA players ranked Clark 11th among guards, creating a noticeable contrast between fan support and peer evaluation.
The discrepancy has fueled renewed discussion about Clark’s perception within the league, especially considering her popularity with fans and her continued production on the court.
Despite the differing opinions, the weighted voting formula ensured Clark remained one of the four guards selected to start in Chicago.
Chicago Awaits the League’s Biggest Stars
The 2026 WNBA All-Star Game will bring together many of the league’s top talents, including A’ja Wilson, Breanna Stewart, Paige Bueckers and several first-time starters.
For Indiana, however, the spotlight belongs to Clark, Boston and Mitchell, whose historic selections further underscore the franchise’s transformation into one of the WNBA’s marquee teams heading into the second half of the season.
